Adult decision-making laws being overhauled

It's a question that many families are facing: how to make decisions for a loved one who can't do it themselves.

Currently if a person is assessed as lacking decision making capacity, their choices may not have much legal impact.

So how do you make sure they are protected and their rights are upheld?

The Law Commission has just wrapped up a second round of consultation on their review of the surrounding legislation.

One of the organisations who have submitted is Alzheimer's New Zealand, their Chief Executive Catherine Hall speaks to Mark.
