The wrong crown - a Fijian "conspiracy"

From Afternoons, 1:15 pm on 10 September 2024

The Miss Universe Fiji pageant has taken a ugly turn after organisers claimed the judges crowned the wrong winner. Manshika Prasad a 24-year-old MBA student was crowned Miss Fiji on the night, but organisers have since stripped her of her crown claiming "a procedural error" had occurred and Nadine Roberts.. a Sydney-based property developer and model should have been awarded the title. One judge has labelled the move "a conspiracy" to steal the crown.

Lydia Lewis, RNZ Pacific Journalist joins Jese to explain the scandal.
