Bookmarks with John Davies

Freelance theatre and opera director John Davies joins Jesse on Bookmarks.

He grew up on a King Country Farm, where he used his imagination to explore worlds beyond the pasture.

After moving to Christchurch he got his big break performing at the 1974 Commonwealth games.

Later joining avant garde theatre troupe Red Mole, becoming Assistant director for the New Zealand Opera, and teaching at Unitec.

Currently he's directing a Puccini meets Verdi mashup Opera.
