How to go dark sky

From Afternoons, 1:15 pm today

A couple of months ago the wider Kaikōura district became New Zealand's newest Dark Sky Sanctuary.

These are areas recognised for their low light pollution, giving a clear view of their starry night sky that is protected for its scientific and cultural value.

To explain, Jesse talks to Colette Doughty, project co-ordinator for the Kaikōura Dark Sky Trust.
