Is FemTech the answer to the gender health gap?

FemTech or Female Technology is a multi-billion-dollar industry that has developed in response to gender bias in both health research and health care.

Women can respond differently to men even when it comes to the treatment of non-gender specific conditions and yet male patients have traditionally dominated clinical trials. 

Female specific conditions have also received far less attention and funding. 

Associate Professor Kelly Burrowes spoke with Emile Donovan.
