Historic place - Whare Tane

Every time we talk about ourselves as Kiwis, we can thank cartoonist Trevor Lloyd. He created a cartoon that turned our flightless bird into a national symbol, he also built a unique home on the slopes of Mount Eden. He called it Whare Tane. The house has been granted a category one listing in the Historic Places Trust register.
