Zink Year - Patten Wood

From Afternoons, 2:10 pm on 14 March 2014

In October last year Emily King and Patten Wood quit their jobs, packed up their apartment in Washington DC and set off on an eight-month adventure. They say their life had become "Powerpoints and Gmail, a good jog here and there, and lots of $7-a-bottle beer. Life was nice, but repetitive". They are calling this adventure a ZINK year- Zero Income No Kids thirty-something sabbatical. They've been all over South East Asia, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand even Myanmar and now they are in New Zealand.
