NZ Live - Affetto

From Afternoons, 1:20 pm on 13 June 2014

Early music ensemble Affetto take to the stage with a flash new (old) instrument at their disposal.

It's called a Theorbo, it's the "giraffe" of the lute family, and this is the only example of this baroque curiosity to ever be made in this country. Find out more about the Theorbo by listening to musician Philip Griffin talking to Justin Gregory during Standing Room Only.

Another member of the Auckland baroque quintet, Hamilton-based soprano and early music specialist Jayne Tankersley joined Eva Radich on Upbeat recently.

Affetto play for us on New Zealand Live, hosted by Simon Mercep.
