Japanese Video Artist – Meiro Koizumi

A 93-year-old kamikaze pilot survivor is the subject of upcoming work for the renowned Japanese video artist Meiro Koizumi.

Meiro is no stranger to debate or controversy. His work has broken cultural taboos and provoked tears, laughter and outrage from audiences and right now he is the visiting ‘Artist in Focus’ with the Moving on Asia exhibition at the City Gallery, Wellington.
