AT THE MOVIES #786                   IP AND THE LEAST LIKELY SUSPECT

Simon Morris checks out another Disney sequel, another British painter biopic, and the first whodunit on the big screen for a while, with a very unlikely detective.

 Frozen 2 is unlikely to scare off fans of the original Disney animated favourite.  All the original elements are present and correct – all but one.

Timothy Spall plays English painter L S Lowry and Vanessa Redgrave his mother in Mrs Lowry and son.  

And Knives out is a twist on the traditional whodunit, featuring Daniel Craig moonlighting from James Bond movies to play detective Benoit Blanc.   Featuring Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans and Christopher Plummer.
