Hawke’s Bay DHB used inadequately sterilised equipment

Sterile Sciences Association president Shelagh Thomas says the revelation about inadequately sterilised surgical equipment in Hawke's Bay is "one of the worst things that can happen in a hospital." She explained to producer Bridget Burke that the sterilisation process in hospitals is complex in order to prevent the spread of infection.
