Widow tells Uber driver 'I do not hate you'

From Checkpoint, 5:39 pm on 26 September 2019

The widow of an Auckland father hit and killed by an Uber driver has told the man responsible she doesn't hate him.

Daljinder Singh was driving up Hobson Street in Auckland's CBD in June 2017 when he struck father-of-four Daniel Kopa - who later died in hospital.

Singh was found guilty of careless driving causing death after a judge-alone trial in the Auckland District Court in June.

RNZ court reporter Anneke Smith was at his sentencing this morning and filed this report.
