Donald Trump has joined an exclusive club, becoming only the third US president to be impeached.
He faced two charges in the lower House of Representatives over attempting to pressure Ukraine to investigate Democratic rival, Joe Biden; and obstructing Congress in its impeachment investigation.
The abuse of power article was passed on a 230-197 vote. The obstruction article was passed by 229-198.
He now faces a trial in the Republican-controlled Senate. As the numbers came in, President Trump was addressing a rally in Michigan.
