Govt's major infrastructure upgrade - the reactions

Reaction to the Prime Minister's huge spend-up on roads has been swift and mixed.

Jacinda Ardern has revealed $5.3 billion will go on building new roads and improving existing ones, with the money coming from its Infrastructure Fund.

The investment's being welcomed by motorists and rail users, but panned by climate change campaigners who say the government's gone back on its word.
