The company that terminated a 11-day cruise for 150 passengers in Wellington today says the decision was necessary as international borders begin shutting.
Checkpoint spoke to some of those passengers aboard the Le Laperouse who were trying to figure out how to get home after they were told the cruise was ending - despite no one being sick on board. Many of those passengers are from areas hard hit by Covid 19 - including the United Sates and Europe.
But Ponant Yacht Cruises Asia Pacific Vice President, Monique Ponfoort, says the company was worried that its passengers would not be able to get home at the end of the cruise.
