Food businesses say their perishable goods are spoiling as courier drivers are run off their feet and can't carry them fast enough.
One courier firm has launched an app to recruit enough drivers to cope with the surge in demand.
But the situation has become so bad for a Wellington fish supplier that he's suspended out of town deliveries and taken it upon himself to get orders to customers.
