Govt pumps $37m into research for Covid-19 vaccine

New Zealand scientists have been given a leg up in the global race for a Covid-19 vaccine, with the government announcing it will inject millions into research and development here and overseas.

The $37 million Covid-19 vaccine strategy has also come with a promise - the government will lobby for places like the Pacific to ensure they get a fair share of supplies.
