Both sides of the political spectrum are criticising the government on what is being described as a two-tiered benefit system.
The government has received backlash after announcing a payment for those who have lost their jobs due to Covid-19, while they find new employment or retrain.
It will pay $490 a week to those who lost full-time work after March 1, about double that of the usual jobseeker benefit.
