The government is putting just over $400 million towards funding innovation and research in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.
The package is primarily made up of investments announced in the budget, although an additional $120 million has been set aside for Crown Research Institutes.
While the money is welcome some scientists are critical of the package, saying it isn't targeted. Harry Lock reports.
