Calls for tighter managed isolation security after Covid case escapes
There are calls for tighter security in managed isolation after a man who tested positive for Covid 19 escaped a hotel to visit a supermarket. A security guard was watching as the man left the Stamford hotel in Auckland last night - but thought he was a fencing contractor. The returnee in his 30s was gone an hour and ten minutes; authorities are reviewing CCTV to track his exact movements. The man - who'll be charged under public health laws - arrived from New Delhi on July third.
