Pole vaulter Eliza McCartney has gone high-tech in an effort to keep persistent injuries at bay and enable her to get to next year's Olympics.
McCartney has been troubled with an achilles issue for a number of years. In the last six months she's been wearing data gathering bands on her ankles to determine the work load she's putting on her limbs.
After missing almost all of 2019, McCartney's been vaulting again at a recent training camp.
She told sports reporter Barry Guy it's done wonders for her confidence.
