Police say Wellington's entertainment district is witnessing more and more episodes of serious violence.
On Saturday, a mass brawl broke out on the corner of Courtenay Place and Taranaki Street, leaving one person with serious injuries.
Local businesses, police and a youth safety group says since the end of lockdown, there's been a big rise in the number of people out late in central Wellington as well as a higher level of drunkenness.
