Greens co-leader James Shaw is scrambling to fix a storm of controversy over his decision to give millions of taxpayers' dollars to a private 'green' school.
Mr Shaw, who's also associate finance minister, is under increasing pressure for signing off on the cash - allocated from the $3 billion "shovel-ready" projects fund.
The Green Party position is that they do not support giving them taxpayer funding - a policy that seems to have escaped Mr Shaw.
But his coalition colleagues say the deal's been done and won't be reneged on.
