The New Zealand leg of the World Rugby Sevens series due to be held in Hamilton early next year has been cancelled because of the global pandemic.
Hamilton has hosted the event for the last three-years. The two-day tournament held at the end of January on Anniversary Weekend, attracts thousands of fans to the city and brings in big money to the local economy.
