Australia has pipped NZ to the post for hosting rights to rugby's first big international tournamnent since the Covid-19 pandemic.

November's Rugby Championship involving Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina will be mostly played in New South Wales, with a round in Queensland.

New Zealand had hoped to host the six-week tournament - but instead only two Bledisloe cup games will be played here next month. Dates and venues are to be announced.

NZ Rugby's chief executive, Mark Robinson talks details with Lisa Owen.
