Auckland residents are bracing for more commuter chaos when the Harbour Bridge's southbound lanes heading into the city close overnight for crucial repairwork to a damaged truss.
It's the first time the bridge has been closed off completely one-way overnight. The two clip-on lanes will close to all traffic except emergency services, to allow heavy machinery to maneuver, from 9pm Tuesday until 5am Wednesday.
Only the two northbound clip-on lanes will remain open. Amy Williams reports.
