Port, border workers happy to get Covid-19 vaccination

The most at-risk workers at the Ports of Auckland have lined up for their Covid-19 vaccinations today, with most saying they barely felt a scratch.

There has been at least one community outbreak connected with the port, and just this weekend one of the border cases was someone aboard an overseas cargo vessel who tested positive at day three.

The roll-out continues as Papatoetoe High School students returned to school today after a week-long closure because of cases there.

And as RNZ health correspondent Rowan Quinn reports, the first Wellingtonians have also now been vaccinated.
