Aucklanders who beat lockdown and hightailed it to other parts of the North Island are being urged to keep Covid-19 alert level 3 with them.
Thousands left the city in between the lockdown being announced and the change coming into force on Sunday morning.
Northlanders and Coromandel locals say they've noticed more out-of-towners and officials want the newcomers to stay vigilant. Chen Liu reports.
