Auckland Airport is putting the finishing touches on its new twin terminal in anticipation of the return of quarantine-free travel on April 19.
Travellers from countries outside the bubble will be diverted through a back door route to waiting MIQ buses, while those coming to and from Australia will be allowed through the terminal's main areas.
But even for those passengers, there's no guarantee the norms of pre-Covid travel will be back any time soon.
