Fishing guides who've been left with little to no business post-Covid-19 say the trans-Tasman bubble has come too late to make a difference this season.
There are about 130 guides registered with the country's largest professional association and about 90 percent of their clients come from overseas.
It's thought a few incoming Australian anglers could create business for some, but not enough to recover from a disastrous season.
