Parliament's Speaker Trevor Mallard has been delivered a ticking off by the Prime Minister for his conduct last night - but he holds onto his job.
Mallard faced off with the Opposition in a spectacular showdown in the debating chamber regarding his defamation case.
Labour says it was inappropriate on all sides - just not so inappropriate its MPs will drop their support for the Speaker.
