Truck drivers and other essential workers crossing Auckland's boundary are preparing to get weekly nasal swabs, even though saliva testing is widely used for border workers.
On Friday, the new testing regime starts which requires every essential worker leaving Auckland's level four boundary to show a negative result from the last seven days.
At this stage, the thousands of truckies are lining up at public testing stations, which they say is delaying deliveries.
