In recent months Checkpoint has asked various government ministers if a mobile 'Mr Whippy'-style ice cream van could be the answer to getting more people vaccinated.
On Tuesday it became a reality, with the Prime Minister announcing mobile vaccination buses would be launched from this Thursday to deliver jabs to people at home who have not been able to get to a vaccination centre.
Jacinda Ardern said the buses would look a bit like Jabba the Bus - a mobile vaccination bus launched in regional Victoria last week.
Dr Helen Roberts from Goulbourn Valley Health has launched the bus. She talks to Lisa Owen.
