Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a woman near a walkway in the Auckland suburb of Mount Albert.
Lena Zhang was reported missing after going for a walk yesterday morning. Her body was found in an area of bush off a walkway yesterday afternoon.
Police have just held a media briefing. Detective Inspector Aaron Pascoe says it is believed Lena, who has down syndrome, walked from Jersey Ave along Richardson Road and up Grand Avenue towards the Owairaka domain.
