The cruise ship industry says it needs some certainty around the border to save the industry and help towns who rely on their visitors.
Princess Cruises has announced its extending its pause of trips to Australia and Aotearoa into early next year with some cancelled through to March.
And while cruising is back on for travellers in parts of Europe and Asia, the local industry says that ship has nearly sailed for their upcoming season.
