Political pressure is building for Auckland's Covid boundary to be ditched immediately following revelations health officials recommended the invisible wall come down as soon as the traffic light system went live.
Aucklanders are counting down to next Wednesday, when they will be liberated as long as they are vaccinated or have a negative Covid test.
And the government is holding firm on its decision saying it actually moved quicker than the Health Ministry wanted.
