Twizel's mayor and businesses are pleased the country's biggest rowing regatta is coming to town, but some locals are feeling a bit wary about it.
Rowing New Zealand's pinnacle event - the national champs usually alternate between Karapiro, near Cambridge, and Twizel.
It's Karapiro's year, but the event has been moved south. It's left locals divided as to whether it's good for business, or something that could put the community at risk.
