Cabinet has agreed to pledge a further $5 million to help Ukraine, bringing New Zealand's total financial contribution to $11 million.
This money will be contributed directly to the NATO Trust Fund to be spent on fuel, military rations, communications equipment and military first aid kits.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says New Zealand has so far not taken up the Ukrainian government's general request to all countries for lethal weapons.
