Police combing Glen Innes property after shooting

From Checkpoint, 5:25 pm on 24 March 2022

Police have been combing a property in the Auckland suburb of Glen Innes after six people were injured by gunfire early this morning.

They say people approached a house about three-o-clock and fired a number of rounds, seriously injuring two people who are now awaiting surgery, and three others in a moderate condition.

A sixth suffered minor injuries. A 21 year old who fled the scene has been charged with possession of cannabis - although the police don't know if that has any connection to the firearms incident yet.
