There are signs of a housing market slowdown, with data showing median house values have fallen in 150 suburbs out of 900 around the country in the last three months.
The slowdown is brought on by changes to lending rules and mortgage rate increases.
Despite this, house prices are at the highest level they've ever been relative to incomes, meaning it's still tough out there for those trying to get into the market.
