A North Island town relegated to the online slow lane, after its fibre cable was damaged, may be waiting a little longer for broadband to be fully restored.
The faulty Chorus cable has left much of Taumarunui's population without the internet. A slump in the road near Te Kūiti on Monday damaged the line, cutting off ATMs & Eftpos machines.
