'Unbelievable'. That's the word the Mayor of the Chatham Islands is using to describe the second mass stranding of pilot whales in less than a week.
Almost 500 have beached since Friday in two separate strandings on the Chatham and Pitt Islands.
Because of the remote conditions, any surviving animals were euthanised. Finn Blackwell has the story.
