Auckland mayor Wayne Brown has announced councillor Desley Simpson as his deputy.
Simpson is the councillor for the Ōrākei ward which covers Mission Bay, Kohimarama, St Heliers, and Remuera.
Brown says Delsey Simpson was not only his pick, but has the support of other councillors.
