Sir Collin Tukuitonga has resigned as Chairperson of the Te Whatu Ora Pacific Senate saying he has "no confidence" in the new coalition government.
Sir Collin was knighted last year for his services to Pacific and public health and has held several high profile roles in the health sector including advocating for Pasifika during the pandemic.
The Senate was established in January to provide advice to Te Whatu Ora.
Sir Collin's resignation came just days after the coalition government was sworn in but has only been made public this afternoon.
He speaks to Lisa Owen.
