The clock's ticking for schools to introduce cellphone bans by the start of term two, but it's an assignment one Principal's dreading.
The National government's banning cellphones in schools to help lift educational educational achievement and expects students phones to be off and away including during breaks.
However, it's up to each school to decide how to practically enforce the ban.
