The demise of the neighbourhood postie has one prolific letter recipient and writer outraged.
NZ Post yesterday confirmed plans to phase out more than 700 mail delivery jobs and said letters will eventually be delivered by parcel couriers.
Lots of listeners got in touch via text and email, to say they still love getting a good old fashioned letter, but they also conceded they don't send too many.
