Wellingtonian John Flux is letting the grass grow under his feet and on the front berm of his Lower Hutt property, not because he is lazy, but for environmental reasons.
At its peak, the lush grass was nudging half a metre and attracting some muttering from passersby.
The 90 year old is part of the no-mow movement meaning the lawn's left to grow to create more biodiveristy and a lush insect habitat.
John Flux speaks to Lisa Owen.
