New Plymouth ratepayers are being asked to choose between closing the much-loved Brooklands Zoo or funding up to nine million dollar of upgrades.
Most of the work is required to meet regulatory requirements - but a redesign idea for some furry friends - that carries a 1.5 million dollar price tag - might be a step to far.
