Auckland Mayor reveals idea for second harbour crossing

Wayne Brown's idea is a causeway or series of bridges, from Meola Reef in the central city suburb of Point Chevalier and to Kauri Point in the Northsotre suburb of Birkenhead. Labour's plan for a second harbour crossing that included rail and road tunnels was estimated to cost more than 55 billion dollars. The Government's focus is on an additional crossing for vehicles.
