Australian egg farmer forced to destroy hundreds of thousands of hens

An Australian egg producer whose chickens were infected with a highly virulent strain of avian flu said it has taken six months to get birds back on the farm and laying. An Otago farm that's managed by Mainland Poultry has tested positive for a highly contagious and severe strain of of avian influenza; H7N6. Egg farmer Bradley McAuliffe had bird flu on two on his properties and was forced destroy hundreds of thousands of chickens, he spoke to Lisa Owen.
